100 words
For my resilience cafe project my partner and I decided to do the Jackson 5 and people from the Holocaust. When people look at the artistic part of my project I really want them to be able to not necessarily connect with it, but I want them to understand what it represents. I think that they should get the idea of how strong these two groups of people were and still are. Another thing that I would like people to realize that this is a memorial/tribute to these people.

i connect!
I connect to the artwork/people who i am portrayng becuase I am Jewish just like the past resilient figure we have chosen, and I have many relatives who have lived through the Holocaust and one of them is just too traumatized to even talk about it, so I have very... strong feelings about that. I also love music, and the Jackson 5 helped develop the music culture so if you think about it, we actually have a lot to owe to the Jackson 5 concerning today's music.

Connections
My art piece and i have a very strong connection. First of all i am Jewish and during the holocaust many of the Jewish people were murdered. I even have some cousins that were killed during the holocaust even though i am not sure who they are. Second of all I have a strong passion for music and the Jackson 5 is a band that i sometimes listen to.

reflection blah
Ok. So Mirit and I were working the whole workshop time on painting out cumbersome walls for our memorial/house/thing. We had a brilliant idea of putting a butterfly on one of the walls, and painting the words of a poem [or song i cant quite remember...] going around the wings. We screwed the box for the bookcase together [thank you Happy for helping! haha], and now that we drew out a detailed blueprint, we know EXACTLY what the final product should look like. I think we definitley shared the work evenly, and if Mirit is reading this, then i would like her to know that I think I am going to go get the psycadelic fabric either on Sunday, or sometime very soon. I plan to use studio time more effectively next week by not talking at all, and even I dont want to do the work, do it anyway without wasting any precious time. And i definitley think we should start building next week to whom it may concern. Peace :]

Studio Time
During studio Zoe and i have worked pretty well. We have painted most of our walls and put together our "bookcase". I think that we share the work pretty evenly. In the future during studio time we have to finish painting and actually put together the final product.

Reflection
Some of the comments that i got were "why are there candles", "I think that you shouldn't use hitlers name". Another comment me and my partner got was "I think that this is very good and detailed". I think that some of these comments have simple answers such as why candles. Well the answer to that is that we are doing a holocaust memorial and so we decided that we would have candles out.
The reason that we are using hitlers name is because we think that it is appropriate to say what happend and not take any shortcuts. Also we said his name in a way that showed that we didn't like him.
